Our Programs – Whitecourt
Our programs are designed around each child’s age, development, interests, and individual needs. Guided by an emergent, play-based curriculum with a strong focus on nature-based learning, our educators create meaningful opportunities for children to explore, discover, build relationships, and grow with confidence.
INFANT
Aster – Infant Program
A calm, warm, and nurturing environment where babies feel safe, secure, and at home. Educators work closely with families to provide individualized care, while infants enjoy sensory exploration, movement, music, stories, outdoor experiences, and open-ended play. Meals, bottles, naps, diapering, and special moments are shared through our parent communication app.

TODDLER
Bramble – Toddler Program
Embracing the growing independence, mobility, and curiosity of busy toddlers. Predictable routines provide security while children enjoy stories, music, open-ended art, sensory experiences, imaginative play, early literacy, gross-motor activities, nature exploration, and daily outdoor play.

PRESCHOOL
Clover – Preschool Program
An engaging environment where children’s interests, questions, and ideas guide learning. Children explore early literacy and numeracy, science and discovery, open-ended art, dramatic play, construction, music, movement, sensory experiences, loose parts, and nature-based learning while building friendships and independence.

SENIOR PRESCHOOL
Dutch Iris - Senior Preschool & Kindergarten
A welcoming environment where children continue developing independence, confidence, and important skills for their school years. Hands-on experiences, small-group activities, creative expression, outdoor exploration, and nature-based learning strengthen early literacy, mathematics, problem-solving, communication, and self-regulation.

OUT OF SCHOOL CARE
Elm – Out of School Care
Located in its own dedicated building, our Elm program provides school‑aged children with a comfortable environment designed around their growing independence, interests, and friendships. Before and after school, children relax, connect with friends, and choose from interest‑based activities, creative projects, games, outdoor experiences, and physical play.
We escort children safely to the bus stop for their designated schools and bring them back to the daycare after school. Full‑day care is included for professional development days.

Summer Care
Summer Care Program
Our Summer Care program offers school‑aged children a fun, engaging environment during July and August when schools are closed. Children spend their days exploring interest‑based activities, creative projects, outdoor adventures, physical play, and community experiences. Each week features exciting opportunities such as special events, themed activities, and field trips that encourage exploration and connection. With a balance of structured programming and relaxed summer freedom, our Summer Care program provides a safe, welcoming space where children can make friends, discover new interests, and enjoy memorable summer days.

Our Orchards location welcomes children ages 3 to 12 in a beautiful community setting. Our programs are guided by an emergent, play-based curriculum with a strong focus on nature-based learning, giving children opportunities to explore their interests, build relationships, develop confidence, and learn through meaningful experiences.

Supporting children as they build confidence, independence, and the skills needed for their school years. Hands-on, play-based experiences strengthen early literacy, mathematics, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and social-emotional skills, while our unique Orchards setting offers wonderful outdoor exploration and physical activity.

OUT OF SCHOOL CARE
Cherry – Out of School Care
A welcoming environment where school-aged children relax, connect with friends, and enjoy being children outside of the school day. Children choose from interest-based activities, creative projects, games, outdoor experiences, physical activities, and community exploration, with access to the exceptional outdoor environment of The Orchards Residents Association.
